vsMars is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.es, amazon.it, amazon.ca, amazon.com.br, amazon.com.tr, and other Amazon stores worldwide.

Our Amazon Associates store ID is versusmatrix-20. Every link to an Amazon product on this site passes through this tracking tag, which is how Amazon attributes your purchase to vsMars and pays us a commission. The price you pay is identical to what you would pay if you reached the same product without our link.

Coverage decisions and Mars Score calculations are made independently of which retailer offers the best commission. We list the cheapest verified price first, regardless of which program pays us the most.

What we do not do

• No paid placement.Brands cannot pay to appear higher in our category rankings, buyer's guides, or top-10 lists.
• No paid Mars Score changes. The Mars Score formula is fixed per category and published on our methodology page. We will not adjust a product's score in exchange for compensation.
• No sponsored reviews.If a piece of content is sponsored or paid for by a brand, it will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” at the top and excluded from category rankings.
• No undisclosed gifts. Review units we receive are noted in the relevant article. Anything of material value beyond a review unit is either declined or disclosed.

Cookies and tracking

When you click an affiliate link, the retailer typically sets a cookie in your browser that attributes a subsequent purchase back to vsMars. The cookie's lifetime is set by the retailer (Amazon's is currently 24 hours; others vary). We do not set these cookies; the retailer does. We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics (Plausible, self-hosted) on our own site.
