Terms of Service

By using vsMars you agree to these terms. They cover what we promise about our content, what you promise about your conduct, and how disputes are handled.

1. Who can use vsMars

Anyone can read vsMars. To create an account, submit reviews, or use account-gated features, you must be at least 16 years old (or the equivalent “digital age of consent” in your jurisdiction). By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Comparison data — accuracy & disclaimers

We work hard to keep specs, prices, Mars Scores, and editorial content accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every value is current at every moment. Manufacturer specs change, prices fluctuate, and retailers occasionally list incorrect information.

Verify critical specs with the manufacturer before purchase — especially for high-value buying decisions or accessibility requirements. We are not liable for purchasing decisions made solely on the basis of information shown on vsMars. See our methodology for our sourcing and correction process.

3. Affiliate links

vsMars contains affiliate links to retailers including Amazon. When you buy through one of these links, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the price the retailer charges — it does not increase because you came through us. Full details on our affiliate disclosure page.

Any contract you enter into for a purchase is between you and the retailer. vsMars is not a party to that contract. Returns, warranties, shipping, and customer service are the retailer's responsibility.

4. User contributions

If you post a review, suggest a spec correction, or submit any other content (collectively, “User Contributions”), you grant vsMars a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, display, translate, and excerpt that content as part of the service.

You agree your contributions:

We may edit, refuse, or remove any contribution at our discretion, with or without notice. Repeated abuse can result in account suspension.

5. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@versusmars.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Intellectual property

vsMars editorial content, the Mars Score formula, the layout and design of the site, and the vsMars and VersusMars trademarks are owned by us. You may quote up to 200 words of an article or share a screenshot, provided you credit vsMars and link to the source URL. Bulk scraping, reproduction of entire articles, or use of our content to train an AI model without prior written agreement is prohibited.

Product names, logos, and trademarks shown on vsMars belong to their respective owners. Mention of a brand does not imply endorsement by the brand of vsMars or vice versa.

7. Limitation of liability

vsMars is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, vsMars and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or harm from purchase decisions.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for fraud, gross negligence, or injury to consumers).

8. Changes to these terms

Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance via the homepage and (if you've subscribed) via newsletter. Continued use of vsMars after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the law applicable at the operator's registered seat, as listed on our imprint page. Consumer protection rights that apply to you under your country of residence are not affected.
