Start with a limitation rather than a pick, because it changes how you should read everything below.
Six of these ten machines score exactly 62.5. They range from $2,199 to $2,999, from a 9.8 kg small-form-factor box to an 18.7 kg full tower, and from an RTX 4080 Super to an RTX 5080. They score the same because a prebuilt's CPU and GPU are recorded as names, and a name cannot be ranked — "RTX 5080" is not a number our model can place above "RTX 4080 Super" without a benchmark database behind it. What is left to score is memory, storage and size, and on those these six are identical: 32 GB, 2 TB.
So this ranking tells you how much machine you are getting, and cannot tell you how fast it is. We would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Every figure below is the live computed Mars Score.
The two at the top: Origin Millennium (2025) and Dell Area-51 (2025)
Both Mars Score 75.7. Both a Core Ultra 9 285K with an RTX 5090, 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of storage in a full tower — the only machines here with double the memory and storage of everything else, which is the entire 13-point gap.
The Origin is $4,499 and 23 kg; the Dell is $4,699 and 27.8 kg. Same components, $200 and 4.8 kg apart. The Origin is the better buy on both counts.
Who should buy these: people who want a 5090 system delivered assembled and warrantied, and who accept that they are paying roughly $1,000 over parts cost for that.
The 62.5 group, sorted by what actually differs
Since the score cannot separate them, here is what does:
- Dell Aurora R16 — $2,599, RTX 5080, 16.4 kg mid-tower. The cheapest current-generation GPU on this list, and the one we would pick from the group.
- ASUS ROG Strix G35CZ — $2,899, also RTX 5080, 17.8 kg. Same GPU as the Aurora for $300 more.
- HP Omen 45L — $2,799, RTX 4090 with a 14900K, 18.7 kg full tower. Previous-generation flagship silicon; still very fast, and the 45L's cooling is its selling point.
- MSI MPG Trident AS 14 — $2,199 and 9.8 kg, the cheapest and by far the smallest machine here. RTX 4080 Super in a console-sized chassis. The obvious trade is thermal headroom and upgrade room.
- NZXT Player: Three Prime — $2,999 with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, the best pure gaming CPU of its generation, and an RTX 4080 Super. On frame rates in CPU-bound games this will beat several machines scoring above it.
- Corsair Vengeance i7600 — $2,999, i7-14700KF and RTX 4080 Super, 13.6 kg. The weakest CPU in this group at the highest price in it.
Read that list and the ranking's limitation becomes concrete: the $2,199 Trident and the $2,999 Corsair score identically, and one of them is $800 cheaper.
The pair at 56.6
Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gen 9 ($2,499, 14900KF, RTX 4080 Super) and Maingear MG-1 ($1,799, Ryzen 7 7700X, RTX 4070) both score 56.6, dropped there by 1 TB of storage instead of 2.
These are not equivalent machines — the Legion has a far stronger GPU — and this is the same naming problem stated a third way. The MG-1 at $1,799 is the cheapest entry point on this page and the right machine for 1440p; the Legion is a 4K machine at $700 more.
How to choose, in four questions
- Compare the GPU first, and do it outside this ranking. It determines 80% of gaming performance and our score cannot weigh it.
- Storage and RAM are where prebuilts cut corners — and are the cheapest things to upgrade yourself afterwards. Do not pay a $400 premium for a second TB.
- Weight is a proxy for cooling and upgrade room. 9.8 kg to 27.8 kg on this page; the small ones run hotter and take fewer parts later.
- X3D for gaming. The NZXT Player: Three is the only machine here with a 3D V-Cache CPU, and in CPU-limited games that matters more than a GPU tier.
