Amazon - Kindle Colorsoft vs Kobo - Clara BW

The Kindle Colorsoft edges ahead on the Mars Score (70.8 vs 67.2), but the 3.6-point gap is small enough that the right pick comes down to which spec advantages matter to you.

Pick the Kindle Colorsoft if the display is what you stare at all day — refresh rate, brightness, or sharpness is where the difference will be most visible. The biggest gaps in its favor are storage, screen size, color screen. The single most decisive one: Storage — 100.00% more. 32 GB vs 16 GB.

Pick the Clara BW if you carry the device everywhere and weight or thickness has been the deciding factor before. Its strongest claims are weight. The single most decisive one: Weight — 47.00 g less. 172 vs 219.

Both ship with comparable resolution, waterproof, so those specs do not separate the two — focus on the differences below.

Bottom line: there is no wrong answer here — match the spec advantages to how you actually use the product. The Mars Score parity says both are well-rounded; the differences are about trade-offs, not quality.
